I've got an old Athlon XP 2500+ 333FSB that I want to overclock on an ASUS A7N8X-E Deulxe mobo. There's some wierdness with my board that keeps me from using any FSB higher then 333, so I've got to do it by adjusting the multipliers. This CPU is unlocked for the lower multipliers (<13) , but as I understand it, I need to do some sort of a mod to access the higher multipliers. I've seen mention of doing a "wire-in-socket" mod or cutting the L3 bridge, but this has mostly been in old forum posts with dead links.

Can anybody explain what I need to do to access the higher multipliers on this chip/board, or point me to a good website with tutorials and pics?

    Thanks,
