Unmounted Boot Volume

Im getting the blue screen with "STOP 0x000000ED (0xaaaaaaaa,0xbbbbbbbb,0xcccccccc,0xdddddddd) UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME"
i dont have the OS disk which for me wouild be XP Home the other option is the use this floppy boot install from mircosoft but laptop doesnt do floppy and i cant the install to go onto to a CD
What should I do?

garcia1615, can you give us more detail as to install or if you're using Notron. (what was installed or uninstalled prior to this error?

 

I know, I have given up as it is fried, just trying to give some moral support that he isn't the only one out there. Sorry... Won't do it again.

Thanks! I found another thread on here though with, literally, the exact same error codes and everything. followed all the instructions... it's gone. I'm just glad I backed everything up on the external about 2 weeks ago though.,

 

Rather than continuing to post in the thread having been asked twice to start your own thread, it would have been more helpful to the Original Poster if you had provided the link to the thread that solved your problem. Then they too would be able to solve theirs!

 

You will need to get Hiren's BootCD or either borrow a WinXP disc so you can run the thread below.
