    Hi there

I desperately need to fix corrupted gopro files, any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I've tried all I can but apparently this problem needs somebody more savvy with file repair, I hope one of you can help me out!

    Here is what happened:

    - I put my 32gb Sandisk class 10 microSDHC in a card reader (gopro3 black itself wouldn't connect). Roughly 6.5gb of vids/pictures
    - Checked one of the videos (directly from card, didn't transfer first). Worked perfectly, nothing corrupted whatsoever
    - Some wizard started running, which I cancelled as I was already using the files
    - Then all windows closed (folder, windows media player)
    - After reopening the sd card, it only had 2 things in it: DCIM folder (empty) and a usbc file of roughly 1.8gb. No idea what it is or where it came from.
    - With the use of command and check disk we wanted to have it repaired. This didn't work and the sd card now appeared to be completely empty.
    - I tried some sd card recovery software, in the end Photorec worked.
    - Photorec recovered 9.1gb of files (I assume our lost footage plus older stuff that was deleted but not overwritten). Photorec recovered .mov files, while the original files

    were .mp4.
    - The picture files work perfectly. The video files, however, don't. I'm pretty sure they are the correct files, as they will show correct size (I remember file sizes of

largest files from before files got corrupted), resolution and length.
With some media players (i.e. VLC) it will even play the video for the correct amount of time and resizes screen to full HD to supposedly accomodate the video resolution,

however, no audio/video to be heard/seen.

    Things I have already tried:
    - Any media player I could think of: Windows Media Player, VLC, iTunes, BS Player
    - Changing extension back to mp4 using cmd (gopro shoots mp4 footage)
    - Various file repair programs I found through google under "video file repair" (FileRepair, Video FIX)

Here's a link to one of the lost files. The names of the files recovered through Photorec all have similar names and extensions.
