Its been a week since i installed the new version of Ati catalyst (6.3) during this week, every time I play need for speed MW i would crashed out ramdomly, it was fine before i installed the new catalyst. DOD source too. I would play for a while and then radomly it would just crash out back to my desktop. I am still having this trouble. I tried re-installing the driver but it ddnt help. Is it because the new catalyst is unstable? or did i do something rong during the installation? ( just to let ppl know, i did use a driver remover tool) Can anyone help me?

Btw I use ATI All in Wonder Radeon 9200 se
    Intel P4 2.6 GHZ
2 Strip of 512 ram on PC3200 (i have no idea wut the brand is)
Still trying to figure out wut my Mobo is, its ASUS for sure, Its like P4V80@(#" w/e it is... = =
The older version of catalyst i was using was version 5.3....if it helps

PS. whats the difference between ALL IN WONDER Radeon and the normal Radeons? (example, whats the difference between ALL IN WONDER RADEON 9800 to a RADEON 9800)

try this: goto start>run>type: devmgmt.msc>locate your video drivers>right click>select "roll back drivers" Try and see if the games crash. Then use driver cleaner pro to uninstall your old drivers(read the FAQ and follow the instructions carefully.) Then reinstall the new drivers. You might try installing the drivers wihtout the catalyst control center. You might also try the Omega drivers, I've never had a problem with them.

The difference is that all in wonder cards have video capture abilities while the normal ones don't. Gaming performance is unaffected. I have a 9800 pro and a seperate video capture card, which works just as well as an all in wonder, IMO. I don't really see the point in having it combined, but that's just me. Some people may find it convenient.

I agree with ~Pyrate~ as far as Omega drivers go.
Certain Catalyst drivers have been known to cause a few problems, and the guy who programs Omega drivers generally misses these ones out. I ran Omega drivers on a 9200SE, and they worked great. You can get them from here:

    www.omegadrivers.net

Make sure you uninstall ATI control panel before you install them, should you choose to.

im having the same problem, but if i switch to omega drivers, then i might have the overclocking problem (the problem where all different colours appear in game on walls and stuff, and also flashing colours) that i fix with ati tool.

and pyrate, when i go to start>run>type: devmgmt.msc>locate your video drivers>right click>select "roll back drivers", like you said, I can't find the option 'roll back drivers' anywhere on the device manager list.

    please help
    thx

When you are in Dev Manager click the + and open out the list of Display Adapters and select your graphics card by double clicking, then click "Driver" and Roll back Driver is listed as a button in that tab,

this is an XP and above option only.

    thx halo

i double click on 'Display Adapters' and i get 2 more options come up under it, but when i right click on any of the 2, there are only the following options: 'update driver', 'disable', 'uninstall', 'scan for hardware changes', and 'properties'.

yea i do have windows xp
