I'm running Windows 10 Pro and prefer using Internet Explorer ( Version 11) rather than Edge or Chrome.
On my desktop HP it is extremely unstable. Keeps on coming up with "Internet Explorer has stopped working"
If I dismiss the message, it seems to resume without any problem until the message comes up again some 5 to 10 minutes later.
Do any other users experience the same and is there a suggested fix?
    Thanks.

Hi Max, Thanks. Did that before and the system stays stable for a day or so and then becomes unstable again.

Does it do the same at Yahoo? Go there and scroll down the main page... I think it is how the sites are coded and IE's compatibility. Chrome and Firefox don't have an issue.
Go in IE settings and start disabling addons see if it continues or run "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff
Also try: Internet Options -> Advanced -> Accelerated Graphics -> Use Software Rendering instead of GPU Rendering (check)

You can always reset it later.

I would recommend not using IE be cause of all the virus that have been popping up lately.

IE has not been updated since version 11 so there are a lot of loop holes that these people can get around.

I gave up on IE11, I had the same problems. Pity, because I still like it the best of all the browsers. Now using Chrome, I get along with it OK.

IE 11 is actually rubbish. In all three major surveys over the last 3 years IE came way below Chrome and Firefox under every heading including Security and Privacy.

Morning All, Thanks for the assistance. I installed Firefox and it did exactly the same as Internet Explorer 11.
Stopped working ! This leads me to believe that the problem lies in W10. Any ideas. Maybe tweaking?

    Yes.
The software is second to none. It doesn't change anything but resets numerous settings to the Windows default.
