I have Babylon as my search engine, and not sure how that came about. I do not want it for my search engine.
Not sure what is with software on my computer. I ran a virus scan, that found nothing.
I had been using Google, so I went to their instructions on how to make them my default search engine on IEx 8, again.
It instructs going to Manage Search Providers, and selecting Google icon then set as default.
That icon does not exist in the selections, only Babylon and the selection "Blank" come up.
I tried going to Google.com homepage, and download from there. But by following their instructions, I wind up back to Manage Search Provider with Babylon and Blank the only options.
Any help is appreciated. Me head is sore from beating it on a wall in frustration.

Yeah most anti virus tools won't pick it up as malicious. I consider it crap. It's safe to remove.

You should see it in the Add/Remove Programs part of Control Panel

    thisisu,
Taking it out via Add/Remove was a primary thought, but theprogram does not show up as Babylon so it can be easily removed.
I was trying to circumnavigate it by getting Google to load as my default search engine. As stated, that idea is not working either.

it took some chasing, but thanks to someone, I found Babylon on line.
Following Babylon's instructions, I think their search engine program was removed.
Thought I had gotten rid of this before, but somehow it snuck back in.:***
