Unwanted Compressed (zipped) Folders Errors!

Hi! I keep getting errors while apparently accessing folders with zip files asking me to insert the disk with the last part of the archive file. I find them annoying and want to get rid of them. They're also unnecessary. How do I disable them?

 

Where are you accesing folders containing zip files? Are they on a USB external/flash drive or your main computer disk? Is the folder itself compressed?

If it is on an external drive, it is possible that auto-play is causing the issue:

Open Control Panel: Click on the Start button and type "Control Panel," then press Enter
Click on Hardware and Sound.
Go to AutoPlay: In the Control Panel, click on "AutoPlay" under "Hardware and Sound"
Change AutoPlay Settings: At the top of the AutoPlay window, click on the drop-down menu next to "Removable drive" and select "Open folder to view files (File Explorer)".
Save Changes: Click "Save" to apply the changes.
This should stop the prompts from appearing when you access folders with zip files on external removable drives.​

 

It is both on the hard/SSD drive and on flash drives. It also doesn't appear to be an auto-play issue, because it happens other than when inserting a flash drive. And no, the folder itself is not compressed. The folders contain .zip files, though, and I believe some of them might be broken. Now, I may want to keep the files but not see that message box. Can I disable it?

 

It's happening a lot when I copy a lot of files. :|
