Unwanted Search Box in Menu Bar

I downloaded a piece of software and the software installed a "Search Box" in the menu bar.

I did not like the software so I removed it from my computer using Advanced System Care Uninstaller 6.

That did not remove the search box. I looked under View-->ToolBars, but the choice for seeing or unseeing is not there.

I attched a 13k .jpg so you can see what I mean.

Look in your remove programs and see if it's there. Try right clicking an open space at the top of your browser and see if you can disable it, and search for it's file and delete it, I would also run Malwarebytes.

 

When I right clisk it it brings up the same thing as if I pulled down the "View" option in the menu bar.

I ran, after updating, the Malware program, restarted, but the pesky item is still there.

Check Add-ons and see if it listed there.

 

That's the thing.... I am not sure what it was. I'll figure it out. Thanks much to all that helped.

 

Ok, I got it.... it was part of a Babylon toolbar.

 

I'll have a look at the link(s) you mentioned and see what I can do to remove the Babylon malware.

Thanks for all that helped and advised. It is gone and I'm happy. Just did not like the search bar right next to the tab in Firefox.
