Upd329115

Ran BelArc Advisor this am and it informs me that I need to re-install update UPD329115. I went to Windows Update site and it says I'm fine and that there are no updates needed. How do I find this update and install it? Win Me on Compaq 5000, yeah, what a ride!!

EDIT : hmmm... interesting... that link is just a link to Windows Update... very strange.... well the XP one wont do.. but i wonder where the link to download the file might be?

This is the same kind of loop I found myself in this am so I posted 'cause i could not find it. Can't find much on Google, AltaVista, MS pages.....frustrated...

 

It doesnt seem that important... you could probably miss it out without any problems, but if you do get the symptoms as described in the ^^ article... you need to work out some way of getting the patch.

Not an ideal solution in any case...but seems like if its not available on Windows update (did you try the windows update catalog by the way?)

 

Yes Goldie I did look at it. It seems that this patch is readily available for download for win2K, win98, win XP, but I cannot find it anywhere for ME. Thanks for all of your effort, the puter is running ok so I'm not going to worry about it until worrying time I guess......... Thanks again!!
