UpDate Bios???

I installed a different mobo.. intel d815 and had to format the hard drive..re-installed win 98 and it runs great....it will Not detect the modem and ethernet but can not find drivers from any source..drive..cd..etc...I have downloaded a couple of things off the intel site that is supposed to be for this particular mobo yet it does not work....in devices it shows under other devices...not installed..PCI System Management Bus..Pci MultiMedia Audio Device...And other device... I have tried every way i know to install drivers for these to no avail..I can install a modem but the dianostics will not find it...so do i need to update the bios or what???:cry

Did you install the chipset for the motherboard ???

If not download this and install reboot computer after install link

operating system click go! Download the first file.....

 

I think i have downloaded every file intel has on their site and i still need a pci ethernet controller and a pci communications device..neither my modem or ethernet adapter will work. Thank you

NO i mean the chipset files and after you install, you will need driver for your last two items.

You need driver for those what kind of modem and ethernet adapter ???

 

I went and bought a modem and ethernet card and it would not even install those i thought having the software with the driver it would install but it wouldnot install them

 

This has been resolved....put it in the dumpster
