    Hello,
After an auto update of my win 7 OS, the user accounts have changed. Before the update I had two user accounts:
    1) home admin account with password
    2)guest standard account without password

After updates, both accounts are admin but only the guest account allows changes to some programs. Other programs still instruct me to login with admin privileges for either user account. Home account is still p/w protected but has lost all admin features.

I am in the process of uninstalling all of the updates (about 15 of them) that have been installed from the time I "think" the problem began (about 1 wk to 10 days ago). I only noticed this problem when I wanted to play civ III recently. All other programs that I use everyday were working fine.

Any ideas? I will suspend the uninstallation process until I receive a respoce to this post. Thanks for the help.

    Hi David

That is a weird one. Only thing so far that I would advise is to run the below and just make sure as likely you have already to see if malware is a cause, the below will allow a set of logs our malware experts can review and give you the all clear.

The reason I suggest this is account privileges should not change and if so then malware is a possible cause.
