Hi.. im wondering what you think about trying to update a 2001 display driver.. verses just buying new.
the version i have is .. ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP 2x (GT-c2u2)
--Ive found a few driver update sites, but they want to charge me for updating it. (the ati website says my card discontinued anyhow)
So is the update to the year 2005 worth it, for a few good years of gaming? Or scrap the whole lot, and just get a new card/chip.
I'm pretty clueless as to where this thing even is , inside the comp haha, so whatever is easiest .. Is it a 3 day project to install a display driver new? and last question... If buying new online, whats the easiest site that will let you know your buying the right card for your computer?
    thanks for any help.

Updating the drivers is going to make little difference on an old system and old graphics like that - I'd leave well alone.

I think it's time you treated yourself to a new system - or a newer one anyway

If money is tight, you can re-use your existing monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers and just get a new base unit. Just look for the cheapest, as anything modern will be a big improvement on what you have already

I wouldn't bother upgrading, because parts that are compatible with your system are expensive compared to up-to-date stuff, and you'd still be severely limited by the board/cpu anyway
