    Update Manager Error Messages

When I first log on to Firefox, the update Manager pops up and I try to install updates I get the following error message:

    Not enough free disk space

The upgrade needs a total of 395M free space on disk '/'. Please free at least an additional 363M of disk space on '/'. Empty your trash and remove temporary packages of former installations using 'sudo apt-get clean'.

How can I solve this problem?? How can I give it more disk space??

open up a terminal and enter the instructed command of
    sudo apt-get autoclean

By default ubuntu, if thats what you're using, keeps all downloaded packages, ie: everything you install through updates and the package manager, is kept in the folder
    /var/cache/apt/archives
As well as by default anything you delete or if you delete using the del key on your kb will go into trash thus remaining on your hdd.

Ubuntu Install was not partitioned as thought. I did a reinstallation and the update manager updated w/ no problems. Thanks for your post.
