[FONT=&quot]Just want to THANK everyone for their help, I uninstalled DUN and reinstalled it from the Win. 98SE CD, then upgraded to ver. 1.4 which was found on the MS Kb site, I also uninstalled TCP Optimizer before I did anything with DUN, and backed up the Registry just in case, ran a “scan disc and defrag” before reinstalling anything, doing this released the hold that the Windows Registry had on the “dialup adapters” and now the NIC is set as the Primary Adapter in WINIPCFG, Network applet, Win. Registry and TCP Optimizer - I will admit I lost a file along the way and there was a lot of rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling but when the smoke cleared, about 4 hrs. later, the end result was what I had hoped for – hope this helps somebody else down the road :)
