Ok so I updated my drivers yesterday using a program called 'SlimDrivers'. I created a restore point and updated and when I booted every thing seemed fine but then when I tried to play a game the resolution of the screen went extremely large and horrible!!

I rebooted and every thing went back to normal but once again when I opened the game, the same thing happened.

After I lot of researching and trial and error I found in Device Manager that the computer couldn't locate a graphics card. (I booted the restore point but the graphics card still wasn't located). After more trial and error I reloaded the graphics disc and every thing seemed ok but when I click on this game the screen goes feral (large resolution and everything seems super large).

When I exit the game the screen remains like that and freezes until I force it to shut down. When I reboot the computer it is fine. Other games seem to work fine but not this 3D game. (It worked prior to my upgrades).

I have a NVIDA GeForce 6150 if that helps and I am running XP.

    Please HELP!!

    Hi

What Service Pack is your Windows XP at?

Reason I ask is that I would generally advise you to install the Chipset driver first and reboot then install the Nvidia driver HERE and reboot.

If you don't know the make and model info then the below run as written will help find the Chipset make and version.

I would also mention, not worth updating drivers unless you need too.

Did you double check the Configuration Settings?

What resolution is the game set to run at?

I found that it is best to stick to the drivers that come directly from your computer's manufcaturer.

I too updated many drivers and kept getting errors while playing videos in MPC-HC with the LAV Filters / CUVID.

It turned out to be that the latest drivers from nVIDIA although they promise better performance in 3D Games are not compatible 100% with my GeForce GTX 670M from ASUS

Rule: never update drivers unless the update is from your computer manufacturer site and for your specific model
