Updates and Passwords

I am about to format my hard drive, so

1) Is there a way I can download EVERY single update for Windows XP home ahead of time so i dont have to download when it comes time to reinstall?

2) when i export hte cookies section from MSIE, does that include my saved passwords, or is it not possible to export those as well?

 

Question #1 = yes or damm near every update, use the seach for a download in Keywords box enter the update/Hotfix # Example "KB887742"
You can save to Disk/CD whatever

Something ya might want to consider is making a slipstream CD, or even unatended install cd
You can add drivers/service packs/updates & stuff or even remove stuff.

Closest thing to Exporting Cookies was from my plate to mouth, Emmmmm Yummmy!

Yes full version Retail or OEM needed, no restore cd's.

Million files, ya lost me, er do ya mean how do ya know what hotfixes/updates you need?

Before you format, In windows, Control pannel, Add or Remove hardware, check box "Show updates"
Then write down all the Microsoft Office/Windows Hotfix numbers
Then using the microsoft link & the search for download feature type in each # & save to cd or where ever ya want.
