Updating BIOS

Hey guys.

I have a quick question.

I'm about to update my Abit BIOS. I have version 16, and they're up to version 22.

Do I need to do each update, or can I just jump to version 22?

BIOS revisions are typically cumulative. Unless documentation specifies otherwise, you should have no problem upgrading directly to the latest, even though you have missed earlier revisions.

I woun't jump to the latest to fast, I would do one update at a time. Most of the other updates that your skeping usually have something different that fixes bugs or other crap, or gives you more options in your bios. I just updated mine....

 

im sorry but i disagree with you
the more you flash the bios, the more likely something could go wrong, therefore result in a dead computer

 

Like Wu Tang Clan the BIOS ain't nothing to mess with. Unless a bios upgrade fixes something or adds a new feature that you know you need, I recommend don't upgrade it.

Unless of course you need to gain the experience, then hack to your hearts content. Just read all the instructions though from the manufacturers website.
