    Hi experts ,
I have a enquiry to make, i have a Dell XPS 600 desktop fitted with 2 Nvidia 7800 GTX graphics cards with the updated driver 91.47 installed a week ago I have also a Nvidia motherboard which has the initial installation driver (7.13).
On the Nvidia website they have an updated driver for my motherboard (7.15)
My question is can i simply install driver 7.15 or do i need to uninstall other drivers of my windows o/s such as my graphics card drivers sound drivers etc so that i can install the updated Mo/Bo driver so that it works correctly.
I am asking because i had to recently reinstall windows xp due to a duff hard drive and i had to install all of the drivers(from Dells disk) in a certain order starting with the motherboard driver i would be grateful for any help given.

If there is no problem in any devices or related software I wouldn't bother getting the update. Updates are small and sometimes cause more problems than they help. But if you want it I don't think you would have to uninstall a bunch of things. If you want, just update the mobo and everything should work fine, with no compatability issues.

Hi Higara7, my computer has crashed twice since installing the new graphics driver the error codes from Windows states it is a graphics card error just wondered if rolling back a graphics driver or updating the Mo/Bo driver would help matters

Update the mobo. Doesn't seem like it would help but try it anyway. If that doesn't fix the problem it would be time to roll back then.

one more question how do i go about updating the driver for the Mo/Bo do i:
uninstall some thing in the Nvidia driver section in the "Add or Remove Menu" in the Control Panel.
Or do i simply download and install the driver and it would do the rest itself, please help

If it says update or an upgrade, do not uninstall your previous drivers. After doing that, and restarting the computer, you may not have access or support for some devices. Then again if you have Windows XP it shouldn't be a problem. If it is a totaly new driver with a completely different name, and is the best for your mobo, then uninstall your previous driver.
