Updating recovery partition on eMachine T5062

I have an eMachine t5062 (I know, I know... it's for my wife!) that I am finally putting into service. I just spent the last 2 days pulling and installing all the updates for Vista Home Premium, removing the cr@pware, tweaking the settings, installing Firefox, etc. etc. I am planning to clone the disk at this point, before I turn it over to her, but I was wondering if it is also possible to do an 'update' or something similar on the recovery partition, so IF I had to use it I could have my computer in the state it is in NOW, after the Vista updates etc. rather than the state it was in when the current recovery partition was created.
    Thanks!

I wouldn't know whether that is possible on an e-Machine though it is on some systems, Acers for example. However there are far better solutions available now such as EASEUS ToDo -

    Highly recommended.

Yeah, I also thought I would do a clone (XXclone) of the disk so I could have it ready to swap out if needed (major HDD fail etc.) I just thought it might be nice to 'update' the recovery partition since you can run that from the drive without opening the case and swapping out HDDs etc -- if you just want to wipe the drive and clean up the accumulated cr@p that always seems to build up and drag down performance. I try to do a clean install every couple of years or so, which helps me to keep the machines organized and running smoothly. It would have been nice to start from 'today' after all the updates etc. rather than '2 years ago'. O well, guess I'll just clone it and go that route (actually, I guess it might not hurt to run the updates on the clone now and then to speed up the process next time).
