Upgrade Assistance

Hello,

I don't have much money to my name, and I have been speaking to a friend and he has given me a link to a computer, I will get to that sooner, would that be more efficient then upgrading my current one? I am going to Copy/Paste my topic from yahoo answers:

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

One last thing, according to a website and the stats, the only thing that does NOT reach the "recommended" system requirements is my Processor!

I can not afford a new computer, so if I can sell this computer for a good price, and possibly some other things, I could afford a new one, can you give me any ideas of a good cheap computer I could buy?
