Upgrade drivers

Planning to upgrade to WinXP, and am wondering if it will recognize my Diamond 770 video card?

Ive just looked at the Hardware Compatibility list for XP and theres no Diamond products listed

However it may still recognise it but nobody has actually tested it officially
Best thing you can do is, if youve got the XP cd insert it and run the Upgrade Advisor, this will check to see if all your Hardware is XP compatible and what extra drivers you may need
Also if you havent got the CD yet you can download the Advisor, info on how to use etc found here

Thanks GLS. but I think I will have to skip the download, hehe, I am on dialup and 50mb is a bit too much. I do think I still have the driver disk for it though, so maybe we be okay. Thanks again for the time you spent looking that up.

Just to add to the info from GLS, many times vid drivers for Win2k and WinXP are identical, so if the latest Diamond drivers were written for 2k they very well may work with XP.

Worth a try, IMHO.

Thanks GLS, yes it is the viper 770. I am still thinking of getting a Rad 9200 though, so maybe it won't make any difference. The Viper only has 32mb memory anyway, and is slow compared to todays stuff.
