Upgrade to Photoshop Ele. 8 from V5??

Question...

I have good 'Ole Photoshop V5 (full version)
Has worked fine for years.....

I am just a home user, with a little use at work for basic graphic stuff for the work website....

some masking, montages, resizing, etc. etc.
pretty basic graphic stuff......

Is there any reason to upgrade to Photshop Elements 8 that is being released or should I just keep plugging away with Photoshop 5?

Thoughts?

Well, I don't know if I would exactly call it "upgrading".

That would kinda be like "upgrading" from a Lincoln Continental to a Mercury Topaz.

But for ease of use, the Elements program may be exactly what you're looking for. Take a look at this.

Hi Exeter

TBH you have no reason to update from PS5 to PSE8, the basics are the same in all Photoshop versions if your doing basic graphic work and web work, I use Photoshop CS4 and its no different in reality to PS5, yes the menus and options are greater but the core is still the same.
