Is it possible or even wise to try to clone my old hard drive which has vista 32 bit to my new drive, then proceed to upgrade that to vista 64bit? Or should I just re-download everything, and go through the hassle of clearing out a brand new Vista 64bit? My main issue is that I don't want to go through the trouble if all my programs won't transfer over, and have compatibility issues.

And the links http://majorgeeks.com/DriveWizard_d799.html for the major geeks downloads does not work, and I do not like using the authors website. Does anyone know of any other programs that can do what I want?

I suspect that you will spend less time overall by just installing Vista 64-bit fresh on the new drive then reinstalling the programs you use. Then, just copy your documents over to the new drive once Windows is installed there.

Unless I am missing something, the whole process should not take more than an hour or 2.
