Well i'v noticed that my computer can no longer compete with the newer one's and it can no longer play the new game's.i'v had it for 3or 4 years now.
    well these are the spec-
    Mainboard: Dell Computer Corp. 0G1548
    Chipset :Intel i845G
    Processor :Intel Pentium 4 @ 2200 MHz
Video Card :Intel Corporation 82845G/GL/GV/GE/PE Integrated Graphics Device
    Hard Disk :Maxtor (80 GB)
    CD-Rom Drive :SAMSUNG CD-ROM SC-148C
    CD-Rom Drive :SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-248F
Operating System :Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2
Video Card :Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
    Data Cache L1 :8 KB
    Cache L2 :512 KB
    Physical Memory :768 MB DDR-SDRAM

So i wanted to upgrade the graphics card, ram,Get a second hard drive(if possible).

But I'm not sure if i should upgrade or just get a new computer, when i say get a new computer i mean built my own.
it would be nice to have a custom case with and blazing hot motherboard and 2 over clocked processor's, with 4gb of ram,and new graphics card, and of course the fans with the blue lights on it,:drool.but if i where to do that how much would it cost me?, compared to upgraded and having not the best but alright components.

chris thanks in advance, give me some ideas, thoughts, experiance's

Well, yours is a bit dated based on the processor age. You can probably build a new system for about $850 (US). You can get a pre-built barebones computer (which unless you've done a lot of hardware swapping, I'd recommend) and add components onto it. With the rig you have, I'd go to www.crucial.com and use their memory scanner and it will tell you what you have to upgrade in terms of RAM. Almost any computer can accept a new HDD with no problems. Crucial should also let you know what type of graphics card you can take - either AGP (old) or PCI-E (new). If it's only AGP, I'd get a new system because it's just not worth it. If you can take PCI-E, you can probably max out your RAM and Video Card (Maybe a NVidia 8800 GTS) for about $450.

A pretty good PC would be something with a dual core processor (I'd get an AMD, socket AM2). A good middle range Motherboard is the Gigabyte M61P-S3. I'd recommend at least 2 gigs of ram, and a 250 GB SATA2 HDD. For a video card, I'd go for a NVidia 8800GTS at least (Best for price), or a ATI 3870HD. I'd get a case with a built in powersupply, at least 600 watts. Thermaltake makes pretty good case/ps combos.

I don't want to take off the hard drive i currently have, i want to add another so i have 2 hard drives on one computer, but i wanted to make it a internal one not the external hard drive. Also I am going to add Some ram, the website said 2 gb would be good. And maybe a new graphic's card(prob not because it to much money too), and i'll prob just overclock the processor i currently have(lol, also because of the money factor too).

I'v come to realize that for now the custom build one will only be in my dreams, lol, it's to much money!I'll do a little more research on building one,and maybe in the near future i'll built one.
    thanks
