    Hello Everyone

I have appreciated everyones help from before. So far Ive put several computers together, Two gaming computers with alot of memory, and some with the maybe 6gb ram or 4. My challenge right now, i have a notebook Toshiba Satallite A-105 s1712 with an intel celeron 1.6 Ghz, with a max of 2gb ram, which i have installed. I planning to do some work from home, instead of buying a new laptop, i wanted to upgrade this one. As you know i know my way around a desktop. I wanted to change the motherboard and cpu, if its possible. Ive done HD and ram upgrades. Im trying to get some expertise from some IT people out there, that can share ideas with me.

    Thanks

    Hi

Unfortunately, laptops don't use standard sized motherboards, unlike desktops. They use standard sized hard drives and RAM, but that's about it as far as standardization goes. And there's even some variants with the hard drive sizes!

Your best bet would be to simply buy a new machine.
