    Hi!

I have decided to spent some money to upgrade my computer. I use it mainly for gaming. It has worked fine so far, and is working just good even now. The reason I am upgrading is, because the new generation of games is comming, and I will need a better system.

But now I have a dilema. What to buy to increase my preformance the most? This is where you come in. I need you to advise me.

    My current system is this:

    CPU: Intel s775 c2d e4300 1.8gHz
GPU: Nvidia 8800gt Club 3d 512MB 700/1500/900 <- not sure about this (I think it is g82. But not sure.)
    RAM: 2gb Super Talent 2x1gb 3-3-3-8
Mainboard: this is what I am concerned about. It came in-build with a HP system. dx2300 it is.
    everest says this:
I have a 500w power supply. Everest report will be attached.

Oh, and my computer case is MicroATX, thus everyhing is so hot, I need to open the side of the case and put a big fan in front of it.

So, my question to you is, what I should upgrade tu increase my preformance the most. My budged is 170€.

My first thought was a mainboard and a processor. But than I figured, I don't really know why the mainboard should be a bottleneck, and I decided I wanted to buy 4gb of ram and a CPU.

But than I figured, I don't really know, so I went ahead and posted it here.

    Thanks for help.

    Cheers, -EZ

It appears you MB WILL be a bottleneck for future apps, OS's and Games to come as it can hold a maximum of 2GB of RAM, For future reference your MB is a Msi Mainboard MS-7336 VER 1.0. By the looks of things however, in the way of CPU the Core 2 Duo E6700 SHOULD fit your MB ... although by todays standards, 2GB of RAM max is getting a little low ... perhaps you should increase your budget? The NVidia isn't too bad ... it should do you ... for now.

hmm.. So you are saying that I can't fit 2x2Gb of ram into my mainboard?

Oh, and, can you recommend any MB's?

    How about a
    OCZ technology-OCZ DDR2 4GB Kit, PC2-6400 800MHZ, XTC cooler andINTEL-CPU INTEL CORE2 DUO E7400 2.8GHZ S775

And about my budged, 170 really is the limit. Sad but true.

Oh yseah, and, do I get a cpu cooler with the new cpu?

    Nope:
I'm not even sure you should upgrade your CPU, maybe hang on to this until you can afford a new machine. JMHO A micro case does not give one many options.

You cant fit a 7400 in it ... the best one you can stick in it is the 6700 ... I wouldn't upgrade just the CPU and RAM, go for the mobo first ...

You mean this one can't get 7400?

So I should prefer a decend mobo and better ram over a processor?

    MSI-Matična plošča MSI G31M3-L V2 S775/PCIE/S/L/

    How about this one?

    Whoa! What does this mean?

    Back Panel Interfaces: 1 x mini-DIN Keyboard, 1 x mini-DIN Mouse, 1 x DB-25 IEEE 1284 Parallel, 1 x DB-9 RS-232 Serial, 4 x Type A USB 2.0 USB, 1 x RJ-45 Network, 1 x Mini-phone Microphone, 1 x Mini-phone Audio Line In, 1 x Mini-phone Audio Line Out, 1 x HD-15 VGA

    mini?

Could you suggest a mobo for me?

This is what I have thought of:

    - Asus-MainboardASUS P5KPL-AM S775/PCIE/V256/S/L/S/F1600

    - OCZ technology-OCZ DDR2 4GB Kit, PC2-6400 800MHZ, XTC cooler

    - INTEL-CPU INTEL CORE2 DUO E7400 2.8GHZ S775

Will this work? Do I need a new cooler?
