Unless you plan to do the job yourself it is not a worthy consideration and will actually cost more than buying a New budget box, e.g.:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856119039

It would cost you more in labour than it would to buy something that is far superior.

The most common theme I "fix" with older PC's is the RAM, they have 256MB and are trying to run XP, they need 2GB....the CPU has nothing to do with the bottleneck. Your report shows nothing about the RAM onboard.

Can you please do "windows+r" keys (or the "run console") and type in dxdiag from here we will clearly see how much RAM you have:

There's not much that you could upgrade to with that processor that you would notice the difference. That's a 9 year old machine that I personally wouldn't touch as 768MB is good enough IMHO even though 2GB might help.

Ok I just finished running CCleaner. You want me to let you know how its running after a while? Oh before I forget Thanks for replying and giving me the info I asked for. Also I like your picture.

Basically running CCleaner and defragging HDD's etc is as far as I would go with that system and may give you a bit of a performance hit without any hardware changes.

Thanks again for the info, I have one more question. I have been using Glary Utilities so isn't it the same or similar to CCleaner?

I don't use that because I don't understand what it does. Some of "these" wonderful "system care" suites can cause more problems than benefits.

The picture is of Aquila audax (Eagle Bold) a.k.a The Wedge Tailed Eagle, Australia's largest bird of prey.

Thanks again and the next time I have a question that I get you to help again.
