Upgrading Notebook Ram

    I have decided to take the leap from 128 to 512MBs of RAM in my ThinkPad i series.
    I have found some RAM that I think wil work, but I wanted to check it out with you guys first.

    This is the default IBM replacment RAM for my model. I went by this to see what kind of RAM I needed to get:

    This is the RAM that I found:

    my IBM model number is 1171-5xu, incase that helps/

    wow, that really sucks. thanks, im glad i didnt go ahead and buy something i couldent support.

    hey, when im only upgrading a little bit, do i need to worry about spending the extra money for brand names such as crucial?
