Upgrading Question to 98SE to Windows 2000

    I would like to upgrade my windows 98se to windows 2000 would there be any software or location that can help me upgrade as 98 has no more support or answers to my delema. This being limits me from runing more modern software as this small tower will be used as a server box. Any help would be greatful

    What is the make and model of your computer? It might not be possible to upgrade from 98SE to 2000 unless you can be sure that drivers for all your hardware are available on the internet.
    Are you also aware that MS support for windows 2000 will end in July 2009? That being the case, you may find yourself again with the problem that a lot of sotware will require XP or newer to run and there will be no security fixes nor patches for 2K after July of this year.

    if your going to use it as a server why not give LINUX a try? its FREE and there are many versions to choose from, they are all fully supported and you can even run it from CD to try it before you commit to installing it :) I did this on my laptop for dual boot :)
