I currently have a Linksys wireless G router. I'm looking to buy the Linksys Wireless N or Belkin wirelsss N. My question is if i upgrade and unplug the old router and install either of the new ones, will i face any issues?? I read that sometimes u face problems cause the old router will load up automatically and interfere with the new one, will such a thing happen? I wouldnt know how to uninstall the old router or at least disable it.

    thanks

Router is Not Cards in the computer.

They are not installed or uninstalled.

You can take off the old Router, put the new one, and configure it to whatever special configuration (if any) you had on the old one.

I hope that your are aware that as far as wire computers go there is No different between your old and new Router.

As for Wireless, if your Wireless cards are not the matching preN that are sold by the same brand, you are wasting your money too, it would not work better than your current Router.

thanks for the reply , i understand about the card on the laptop must be N to get full advantage of the wireless N router. I want it more to expand wireless coverage throughout the house, i know it wont make a difference to my wired desktop

    thanks
