    Hello all. I'm new here.

I am running the following computer:

Windows XP Professional SP2, fully updated.
    AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+
Sapphire Radeon X300SE 128 MB graphics card
    1 gig RAM

I use Zone Alarm Security Suite 6 as my firewall and Norton Antivirus 2003 as antivirus.

    My problem is this:

This computer is fairly new, just about five months old, and I have noticed that whenever I upload any files -- whether it be on websites, peer to peer servers or on instant messaging programs, if any upload exceeds 40 kb/s my internet connection is stalled and I cannot access ANY websites at all. All I receive is a "page cannot be displayed" no matter how many times I refresh or whether I use another browser (I use IE primarily).

If the upload is below 40 kb/s everything is fine.

I have convictions that Zone Alarm could be the culprit but I really haven't a clue.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you think Zone Alarm may be the problem, disable it temporarily and see if the problem persists. If the problem is still there, you can discount Zone Alarm as the problem.

Also, you can boot into Safe Mode (with networking) and see if the problem persists. Safe Mode only loads the processes, drivers, etc that are necessary for operation. If the problem is gone, we can look at whatever else you have loaded in Normal Mode
