I plan to finally get around to uploading and storing the 100's of CD's I have in boxes onto an external drive. I know it is straight forward, but is there a program or does anyone have any tips to maximize sound quality, or am I talking out my *** and it makes no difference?
Also, I am wanting to change my user name from my full name to just a nickname, going into all the edit options I have yet to find how I can do this. thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the "registered owner" of the computer? You also need to mention what version of windows you are running.

Thanks for replying, just meant changing it on this site. I can't find anywhere that I can change my username. I am able to change the password ok.

You can't change your user name here at MG's. You'd need to create a new account with the new user name. Since MG's traces IP addresses, THAT may not be possible.

As far as your boxes of CDs, CD quality sound is 192 Kb/s. Your CD ripping software needs to be able to support that bitrate. AudioGrabber is one program, and CDex is another.
