Do you use an anti-spyware program such as Ad-Aware or Spybot Search & Destroy? If not, I suggest you download them (both should be available here at MG), update them, and run them religiously. Also, get yourself a popup blocker program (also available here at MG).

I have popup stopper but it doesn't seem to stop the BULLSEYE Network offerings.

Thanks for the ad-aware and spybot reminder..I will run that now

No problem Bo. If your "favorite" or bookmark link is taking you straight to the Lounge, you're not seeing the main forum index. To access the main index from any forum, click on the MajorGeeks logo at the very top-left of any forum page. That will take you there directly. That page will list all the forums on the left, with the latest thread from that forum to its' right. Click on the forum you want to go to and jump right in. Each one is laid out & works just like here in the lounge... just with different topics. Anywhere is easy to find from there. See picture below: top arrow to the logo.

Alternately, see the 4 arrows below that. Those links go to each level above where you currently are in the forum. In this current thread, that's the UPS Service and Bullseye Network, which is the thread you're in now. Moving left, is the Lounge itself. Moving right again is to the General Forums which is a subset of the overall forum list, and at the very left is Major Geeks Message Board, or the main forum index (same as the picture link at the very top). Click on the various links & see where they take you. You can always come back to the Lounge & start over if you get lost. It won't take you long to get the hang of things.

Don't feel bad about not knowing your way around here. First forum I dabbled in confused the heck out of me too for a while. By the way, you've only got 3 years on me. There's quite a few of us old farts around here. ;)

Thanks Buddy! Played golf today with my Chevron group. Shot a 91. A lot of missed opportunities.

Sorry! Looks like I posted this one twice. Here's the solution by HAX. Thanks HAX!! :D

I'm not clear on the problem.
    XP?
The UPS service can be set to automatic, manual or disabled.
I don't use a UPS, so default seems to be manual.
Yours must be set to automatic because it is trying to load at startup.
Set the service to manual or disabled in control panel-administrative tools-services-uninteruptable power supply service
