    Hi folks,

The adapter for my laptop must have developed a fault, I keep getting error messages about the docking station not being attached to the mains.

I'm hoping to use the Kerio universal adapter that I have but I'm not sure of the output voltage. The fuses that come with it let me choose 19 V and 20 V and the Dell adapter says 19.5 volts.

Can I use the Kerio with one or other of those fuses or not?

If not... tomorrow I go a-hunting.

    EQUIPMENT:
Dell Latitude D510 laptop (has to go on docking station because won't take power through usual socket.)

    Dell Docking station - PR-01X
    - to be used with PA-10 family of adapters.
    - input 19.5V (AC symbol, I think - solid line above, dashed below)
    - 4.62A

    Dell Adapter:
    PA-10 family
    Input:
    - AC 100-240V 1.5A
    - 50-60hz (is this relevant?? and I'm not sure if it goes with input, output or both)
    Output:
    - DC 19.5V 4.62A (tip positive)

    Kerio Adapter:
    90W Universal AC Adapter
    Model AD-90M
    Input: 100-240V 50/60 Hz 1.5A
    Output combinations:
    - 19V [symbol] 4.74A
    - 20V [symbol] 4.50A
    - Tip positive

(In between the voltage and amp ratings, is the solid line over dashed line symbol - but if that stands for AC, not sure why it's there. The box clearly states 'Notebook DC Power Connector Center Polarity,' shows that it's positive tip, and the end of the cable that you put the appropriate plug into also shows negative and positive to make sure you get it right.)
