USA IPaddress use abroad

I travel frequently to Europe and find that I cannot access many of the
US television sites that I frequent when in the states.
How can I adjust the IP address that I use while in Europe to a USA IP address?
I have Windows XP and Vista.

The IP address your Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides for you cannot be changed without you loosing connection as far as I know.

You could bypass the IP problem by accessing the sites by using a US proxy site.

I have checked out several sites that have USA proxy addresses.
Do I just insert the proxy in the Internet Options>Connections>LAN settings>(advanced) use the same proxy for all the protocals?
Confusing when you're(me) a techie wanabe.

Just visit the proxy's website, and they should have a box for you to type/paste the address of the site you want to access. Then just hit enter on your keyboard, or press the button on the page, and you should get the site, and any hyperlinks you click on, through the proxy.
