Just thought as we do have alot of student from the US on the forum they may not have seen this offer yet (was in an email newsletter of mine today) and its a good one, Windows 7 Pro for $29.99

There are stipulations though

You must have a valid e-mail address at an educational institution ending with the domain suffix .EDU (i.e., leina@contoso.edu) OR have a valid email address at one of the educational institutions listed HERE

It is a digital download version and not boxed media.

Are offers for Office etc as well.

*NOTE not for any other country apart from USA.

You must be a student at a U.S. educational institution and must be actively enrolled in at least 0.5 course credit and be able to provide proof of enrollment upon request.

Also, check with your school's IT department, they might have an even better deal. I got Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit for $20 at my work (university of michigan)
It's a dvd, and can only be installed on one pc, but it's only $20!

Indeed and good point as where I work I can get Office Enterprise for $15 and Win7 for $10 (but then I also have MSDN/TechNet and get them for $0)

But if your IT dept doesnt do any offers this is a good deal.

Just a head's up: if you drill down there are links for Canada and the UK offering discounts on W7 Upgrade and Office Academic...
