usb 2.0

    Does anyone know how to upgrade to uSB 2.0 w/o using windows update? I have a copy of Xp that I got online and the key comes back as not legit.

    Visit your motherboard maker's web site and download the newest BIOS and chipset software. Flash the BIOS, install the chipset drivers, and hopefully that will do it. If the MB is really old, you may not be able to upgrade to USB2.0. You can always buy a PCI controller card with 4 or 5 USB2.0 ports on it. They plug-n-play and cost about $15.
