I've just completed building myself a new box.i7 3770k,Asus p8z77-v LK,8 GB RAM, Win 7 Pro x64 SP1. The problem I'm having is trying to get some USB drivers. There are 4 USB 3 ports on the board and only 2 are currently working.I've installed the chipset drivers and the latest USB drivers as found on the ASUS support site for my board. When I go into device manager I see an yellow exclamation next to a USB controller. I've tried letting it look automatically for drivers, but no such luck. All other USB ports are working except for those two. Any idea on how/where to find the proper drivers to get it to work?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Try re-installing the chipset driver, then install the latest usb3.0 drivers for your board from here....

    http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LK/#download select your OS (win7 (64))

remember to restart your machine after each install otherwise your system may not recognise the changes that are to be made ;).

Postback to let me know how you get on.

Is there a driver fix to upgrade from USB 1.0 to 2.0 or 3.0? (Have an old Compaq d500 1.7ghx

Hi Alonzo, Welcome to Majorgeeks! :)

Please always start a new thread with your question rather than posting in an older thread. When you enter a forum like Hardware or Software there is a "New Thread" button on the top left which will help you create a new topic.

Your computer's motherboard does not have USB 2.0/3.0 capability, no driver can fix that. You would need to add a PCI to USB expansion card to get the higher speeds.
