USB battery chargers? Do they come with software?

Does anyone make Windows XP compatible battery chargers that come with charging/analysis software for rechargeable AAA and AA cells?

I've seen the mini-USB chargers, and chargers that provide a USB connection for backup, but I'm looking for software and hardware that could replace the functions of the expensive smart chargers, or let you specify the max charge time, voltage limit, or charge speed. Analysis of cell condition would be a plus.

 

Okay, I guess no one sells (or provides free) USB rechargeable battery management tools, at least I haven't found any despite extensive googling. The one exception would be the CBAII (computerized battery analyzer/tester) by Wesmountain Radio:

but the base model costs $110 + it's just an analyzer/tester (though a pretty cool one).

I thought I could get functions of the expensive high end smart chargers for less by running them off my computer, but seems there's no market for that.

On an aside: They have some cool advances in AA and AAA rechargeable cells since I last checked. For example, they now have rechargeable alkaline batteries that go up to same voltage as their non-rechargeable counterparts (e.g. rechargeable 1.5v AA's instead of the usual 1.2v NiMH versions), they have IC3 NiMH AA and AAA cells that recharge in 15 minutes, and they have other AA rated up to 2900 or 3000 mAH, and AAA rated up to 1200 mAH, though these high mAH cells supposedly burn out and deteriorate faster. Still interesting stuff if you are into using rechargeables. Personally I will only buy appliances now with non-custom batteries (if possible).
