I am trying to determine just how fast my USB PCI card transfers data so I started looking online for software that would do the job. I saw a hardware jumper device that costs about $50 but there must be a software utility that can do it.
Here's an example of what I'm trying to accomplish: I created a dummy file of about 100 MB and copied it from my IDE drive to my Seagate USB drive. It took about 7 seconds (which seemed pretty decent to me). However, I'm thinking there must be a way to benchmark USB devices and record the results exactly. Anyone have an idea of where to look?
    Thanks,
    Deacon
