I know there are different usb cables but these are the same.
I have two usb 2.0 cables each 6" in length that came in the same Flip camera package. The distance to the camera from the pc is about 8 inches. Can I join these two to make up the difference?

If the cables have can be physically connected together, I see no reason why that won't work. Why not just try it?

Another option would be to buy a USB extension cord.

    >>I just wanted to be sure as I read about mixing cables up and the consequences.
B/c these are the same, I did use them connected in different scenarios and they work quickly and well. As a matter of fact they make some jobs a lot easier in accessing some usb ports for various tasks.
    Thanx
