Hi. Can anyone tell me how to make my pc allow me to just plug in my 3 usb dongle without going through the process of installing it everytime? I just plug it into my laptop and it works but not so on my pc. Thanks. Mike.

Are your motherboard drivers up to date? This would be the first step.

Good, that would be the first step so that it is working properly. If you can't find the drivers try a programs like SlimDrivers or get back to us with the motherboard OR the computer brand and model!

Problem FIXED... Control panel/system/hardware/driver signing. Select "ignore, install without asking my permission". Thanks anyway. Mike.

Read the thread. You are giving us no information beyond what we have offered. Drivers up to date is #1.

Actually i had my laptop formatted 2 months before because of window corruption since then 2 of ports are not recognizing any usb or dongle but 3rd one is working..

    Hi Carleen

Did the company or person re-formatting and re-installing Windows for you install all of the device drivers?

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using?

In Device Manager do you have any yellow ! marks or red X's by any device and if so what are they? (to enter Device Manager Windows Vista/7 HERE and XP HERE)

We will also need your hardware specs and this comes mainly from if the PC was a pre-build as in Dell, HP, Acer etc then what is the make and model number, if it was a home build then what is the motherboard make and model?

If you dont know them then the below will help, please do follow the guide as written.

But as the Major mentions earlier this is likely a driver issue and making sure they are all upto date is the first job, as while one port works it could be a different hardware chip controlling that USB port to the others as its not uncommon for two or more different makes of controllers to be in a PC. Once the drivers are upto date and same problem still then comes looking at hardware or software issues.
