I have a very important USB 2.0 flash drive. This evening when I plug it into my computer, Windows will not recognize it. The drive has a little light that usually goes on when I plug it in; this light is not on. I have tried putting the drive into 2 other computers.

Please, please tell me there is something I can do.

You can boot a linux live cd http://www.livecdlist.com/ try Knoppix
and then plug it in and see if linux sees it.
If so, get your files off, and put them either on a CD or another USB stick.
