USB Gamepad causing random crashes?

Well this is rather weird but, I find that every since I got this game pad (XBOX360 Controller for Windows) my PC has randomly reboot twice. I guess it's logically since when I do plug it in or unplug it this happens sometimes...but I just want another opinion cause I'm not really sure.

I mean I really have no reason to suspect my PSU, it is however 8 months old (PSU is in my sig), but for the simple fact that when I have the game pad in when I restart the PC it takes almost 10 seconds longer to boot on Setup screen (First screen when you boot) because the meter gets stuck at I guess you could call it 80%.

When it's out everything is fine, when I game without it I don't have any crashes. Heat is not an Issue even though I can only speak for my GPU on that being that it's the only component with a sensor,(38C Idle 58 Stressed), I have 3 case fans, 1 GPU blower and a Main case blower and a floor fan blowing air into a hole in the side, also with my room temp being around 60-61 Degree's. (Note that 2 Case fans and the main case blower are running on a separate PSU).

I would give a reading of my rail voltages if I could, however neither component shows voltages nor do the BIOS so I guess I can't really tell unless I get an electrician to check but that is risky.

May be a driver problem. Did you try to reinstall the driver? If it does not help the XBOX360 controller for Windows may be damaged hope you fix it:D

Well that's the problem they don't come with drivers, you have to download them from Microsoft, and they suck. Which is most likely the problem either way I knew it was a bad idea when I couldn't re-map the buttons, now this just compounds it. Yeah I reinstalled them numerous times same result, I think I'm going to run the PC for a week or two and see what happens, if I don't crash then I'll know.
