Usb Help

i have 4 usb ports in my computer and i can only use 1 and thats for my printer i have a flash drive i use for Uni and i need to use it but when i put it into one of the USB ports it doesnt work and when i put it the port next to the printer it disconnects the printer and i have also tried unplugging the printer and plugging in my flash drive but it still doesnt work i have updated all my drivers and everything i am running windows xp with USB 2.0 any ides ??

 

um if it was my pc i would strip it and rebuiled it if i couldn find out why it happens mate but good luck
