usb hub

Hello geek friends,

I have several great usb hubs, but can't get any of them to work. :confused

My sister and I got twin laptops. When her usb hub died, I gave her a hub I already had. It works great on her machine.


Several months later my laptop stop recongizing my us hub. Since then I have tried three additional brands of hubs to no avail.

Today my sister came by with the usb hub that I gave her, and sure enough it works on my machine with no effort.

The brand is 1dotconnect.

Why won't the other usb ubs work when this one does?

Any clue on how to make the other ones work? Is there a universal driver I can download to make one of my hubs work?

I am using Xp professional.
