usb issues

    built a new p4 sys, intel processor 2.4 ghz, new ddr 512mb, new P4m80-m4 biostar motherboard. starts up runs great but, when I attatch any usb device ie reboots or sayas it can't find the drivers, basicly cant use any usb ports on the board I installed the disk that came with it and even downloaded from the web site they are not very helpful though. any thoughts or ideas would be appriceated. running win xp

    Did you install every driver that came on the cd with the motherboard?

    yes sir,
    I did and I even wint to their web site and downloaded some drivers with no sucess.

    Have you looked in the bios to see if the voltage corresponds with your Mobo's users manual.

    Not a clue how to. I got my scanner, printer and key board all usb to work, but any mas storage devices or mp3 players lock it up or are unrecoganizable:cry

    Have you got a Motherboard Manual if not get a copy of Everest Home Edition in this Forum and install, there you will get a shortcut to your Motherboard manufacturer... where you should be able to DL one.
