Alright, I Run a Windows XP Sp2 and im going to use an Ortek MCK-800 Multimedia Keyboard (USB), But when windows detects it, It finds a problem on the USB Human Interface Device, thus the reason why i cant use my keyboard.

Another problem is that my PS/2 Mouse isnt functioning when my PS/2 Keyboard isnt plugged.

What could be the cause of all of these? or how can i make my USB kboard to function?

Ive downloaded MCK-800 drivers, but none of them worked.

Are any usb devices working? It certainly shouldn't matter if the keyboard isn't plugged into the ps/2 ...should work independantly.

Uhmm well, i can use my flash drive...

    Scenario
USB Keyboard and PS/2 Mouse -> Both not functioning
PS/2 Keyboard and PS/2 Mouse -> Both Functioning
USB Keyboard, PS/2 Kboard and PS/2 Mouse -> USB Not functioning...

Sp/2 was supposed to handle usb issues ....however, go to device manager and find the usb hub that may have an ! or X or ? and right click and uninstall ....close out of the device manager, reboot and recheck the device manager.

same thing, re installing the keyboard and yet, it still has the [! USB Human Interface Device]

Im wondering, where can i find a driver for a USB Keyboard or what can i do to fix that?

The Keyboard is a bit old, its an Ortek MCK-800... built for Windows 98, but it has drivers for Win XP... I dont think that would be an issue or will it?

Start / run / type "services.msc" without qoutes ...click on standard tab....scroll down to Human interface Device ...right click and choose properties ...in the drop down, set it to auto.
