Hope this is the correct area to post this...

I'm trying to get all the parts I need to stop running a mess of wires across the floor to the far side of the room and put in some wall jacks to hide all the wires. I think I've got it all down except the USB connection. I've got a left over keystone plug so I went looking for a set of USB keystone jacks and found something odd I'm hoping somebody can explain, all the jacks I find are type A female to type A female or type B female to type B female. Why is this? I'd expect/need a Type A female to type B female and a Type B female to Type A female (one for each end of the room) Additionally since the distance I'm covering is longer than the 15 feet or so limit on a USB cable I'm using an active extension cable (built in repeater) and I doubt it would work correctly backwards.

I'd appricate any advice or ideas anybody has

If necessary, you can just build your own adapters using sockets, solder, and a small circuit board (at least in theory). Here's a link to a company that sells the sockets. Maybe give 'em a call and explain your needs and they may be able to help.... good luck!
