Usb Network Adapter

I recently purchased a USB ac-1900 Smart wi-fi router as I wanted to stream to my TV from my PC,via a virtual wifi adapter,and my present modem is incapable of doing so. But now I find that it didn't come with a Network adapter and I need to purchase one to get it to work. My original intention was to join my current modem a F@sst 5355 with the router once I had everything set-up but will any USB Network adapter do the job,as I potentially have two pieces of hardware that both will be using it? I've already spent quite a bit on this project so my budget's a bit tight.

 

Does the TV have a network connection? What software are you streaming with?

 

I plan to use a VPN to stream with as I've already confirmed that will work,and the TV in question does have a network connection,but it's severely limited on what comes on it naturally,so I plant to supplement that with additional content via my PC.

 

Do you know VPNs are not a streaming services? Could you draw out your network? Your lack of knowledge / ability to describe the issue in a major hindrance here. What device are you buying an adapter for?
Some people use a VPN service with a streaming service to view content outside their area, is that what you want to do?
See, I have my desktop on a wired connection (hooked to my WRT1900AC) and my TV has a Chromecast on my wireless and I can either stream from Chrome browser or VLC from my desktop (or any computer) to my TV...easy peasy.
